I've wondered about this for awhile.
First, let me say that though I know I have too much candida in my system (a poop test confirmed this some years ago but I wasn't surprised given symptoms) I've always wondered about parasites. That test (1996 I believe) indicated NO parasites but I've always heard that the tests are not conclusive. Anyway, at this point, for a number of reasons, I don't want to/can't do another test.
This is the question. I think that I read somewhere that a rough "pimply" (they're not really pimples but bumps and some are red) skin on the bottom is a sign (or can be a sign) of parasites? candida? I can't remember which and if either, what would cause this?
Do you know? Ingrid? anyone?
Thanks,
Kim

Not me, maybe someone else knows. Let us know if you find out.

Yes. I will. Although it's the kind of question that one can ask with ease on an internet forum but not one that I'll likely ask again.
I am curious but the broader question implied (at least in my own mind :)) is whether there are any clear differences in symptomology (I think that's a word) between candida and parasites?
My feeling is to assume for the time being that I don't have a parasite, address the candida issue and see what unfolds.
I went (an unusual event) to a doctor who's so-so wholistic and who said that it's darn hard to get rid of candida if a parasite is present. I didn't question him further on this so I'm not sure why he thinks this to be so.
Okey dokey, onward I go.

Parasites are hard to get rid of regardless, but I would think they constitute a greater long term risk than candida. Parasites are of such an enormous variety that it's hard to say what symptoms you might have, but if you read the list on this site, you might see whether any of the symptoms speak directly to your circumstances. There are pages on both candida and parasites. To resolve the problem, you have to be quite tenacious (or very lucky.)

In other words, I am agreeing with the doctor. I feel that when people quit eating the food that is normal in this country, we will see a huge improvement in health.
