Hi Ingrid- I just listened to your "Adrenal Exhaustion" tapes. They were very informative! But on the tape you mention that you didn't want to take "Quinine" because of the side effects. Well, my husband LOVES tonic water, which has quinine in it. Can you let me know what those side effects are? Thanks! |

Oh, Kim, It's quite personal. When I was going to Vietnam, the State Department wanted me to take quinine for the entire duration of my overseas service (first Vietnam and then India.) I read the insert inside the box and it mentioned "affects peripheral vision." I figured I couldn't afford this risk and threw the pills in the waste basket. Later, my Ayurvedic teacher prescribed quinine for something and I had an allergic reaction. I subsequently reacted allergically to tonic water. I am certain that the amount of quinine in tonic water is not a problem to anyone except those with allergies similar to my own (I'm only allergic to quinine and mushrooms, nothing else.) |

Does tonic water have an affect on potassium. I swithed from beer to gin and tonic and all the sudden I'm up to 12 supplements per day. |
