From reading alot of your site and your posts it seems that you are fairly grounded in science.
I have a question regarding a pendant that reportedly is quite beneficial.
Now, speaking of Santa Fe, I wore one that I think was similar to the one that I am considering now. Being that I am, as I said, not scientifically oriented and more of an intuitive/instinctual sort, It's difficult for me to assess whether there is any 'validity' to these protective pendants or not. I must say, I did like wearing the one I had when I was in the Southwest (It's no longer with me) but I don't know if it was only because of the fact that this particular one was quite attractive and that the mere idea that it was protective had me somewhat attached to it.
Anyway, without naming the company, I'll just print here some of the information that they provide in the hopes that you have a sense of what this is about. I just chose a few key passages thinking this would be enough for a response from you.

[The main component, the resonating cell, works as a crystalline oscillator to convert and conduct subtle energy into more coherent energy states, ones which are conducive to the health energy states of the person. The tuning board reinforces the resonating cell to function in a specific spectrum or energy range. It harmonizes and protects the functioning of the resonating cell. The amplifying coil shapes and strengthens the size of the energy field that is conducted. It extends the power of the sympathetic resonance into a 3-dimensional field. This entire process clarifies the user's energy states, and thereby strengthens the internal power and resilience of the wearer, allowing him to more effectively filter out chaotic type energies.

[restores our harmonies by helping to regulate the 'homeostasis' of the body. 'Homeostasis' is the condition of equilibrium, the 'dynamic range or balance' where the body's multiple systems operate together and resonate at their optimum.]

[1 It strengthens your resilience and resistance to the effects of stress.
2 It increases your energy and enhances your mental performance, especially under pressure.
3 It strengthens your capacity to function in EMF saturated environments. (EMF is the electromagnetic field generated by electronic devices and wireless communications).]

If you have any knowledge in this regard, I'd love to hear it.
Thanks,
Azure

Since I'm not very familiar with this forum I'm unclear about the typical response time so I'm basing it on my most recent correspondence with you regarding composite fillings.
That said, I'm not sure what a non-response to the above post means. I figure you're either :
1 - away from your computer or,
2 - not inclined to answer for whatever reason.

If it's #2, could you just please let me know so that I'm not waiting on and checking for your response.

Thank you. I don't mean to be pushy ... just need some understanding.

Azure,

I missed this message. You started a new topic and I simply failed to notice you did so.

A lot of what you wrote suggests that the company is waltzing around a lot of regulations that inhibit its right to explain what the product actually does. We have to use all sorts of abstract language to stay with the "structure and function" limits.

I remember a program on natural healing on television in which the producers were attempting to be impartial. When they got to Chinese medicine, they consulted an expert, a surgeon. He said he had performed thousands of operations and could say with absolute certainty that he never saw any chi inside any body on which he operated. So, if we only talk about chi or energy, we are not really stepping on too many toes.

This said, all these gadgets work under different assumptions and principles so I suggest you do follow your intuition. Privately, and I can say this with same dogmatic emphasis as the surgeon, people engaged in the experiments that lead to the production of such articles do usually understand what they are doing, but not always. I consult with a few of them and am sometimes thrilled and sometimes appalled by what they know and don't know.

I have also done some Kirlian photography with people wearing various "aura amplification devices." Many of those working with various crystals do succeed in strengthening the aura, but none that I have ever seen improved the quality of the vibration, just the intensity. If someone were extremely devitalized, these devices sometimes, obviously depending on the integrity of the company and their ability to apply what they know to technological devices, increase the length of the lines in the auric field and sometimes straighten out the lines that are bent so that there are fewer gaps. People who are severely poisoned by heavy metals tend to have a lot of collapsed lines and therefore gaps. If the amplification device corrects this, they will feel better.

What doesn't work for me is long-term use of such devices by people who actually use energy in their own professions. I would think this includes such people as Reiki practitioners and those who balance chakras or move energies. In this case, it the power of meditation and pure intent creates a much more reliable and beautiful aura, but one that is more difficult to maintain and sustain than the somewhat more generic versions supported by devices.

www.clarus.com

I don't know if it's o.k. to post another web address so if it isn't, sorry.
Thank you for your response.
There's alot of information at this site but it's difficult for me to make heads or tails of it. This Q pendant is all the rage now apparently. Madonna, Ken Wilber and Deepak Chopra are three names that come to mind ...
I dunno. You know, when I came upon this site and contemplated ordering the cheaper one (the silver and gold ones are outrageously expensive!) my energy lifted nicely.
We'll see.
Thanks again and please pardon my impatience.

Azure,

I prefer that you not post links to sites because it can be construed as some kind of endorsement or advertising. Obviously, there is big money behind anything that uses celebrity names, or the names have been appropriated without the permission of the individuals (which happens all the time.) Unless you know for sure that the claims are authentic and that they work, it is pointless to direct attention to the products.

Ooops, yes I do understand.
I'm certainly not endorcing anything. I'm actually quite dubious and the endorcements, if anything, make me more so. It's a tactic that I don't "buy into".
I only provided the site address because the information that I had provided in my first post about the pendant was so limited.
I won't do it again.
By the way, I've wondered why this forum is not more active. It's interesting and I've wondered about it. There's a sense of this site as an outpost almost. I find the internet a very strange place!
Just curious,
Azure

Azure,

When this bulletin board was first created, people went to the web site and then the bulletin board so they had already read the articles on the site and the board was created so they could ask questions that weren't answered on the site.

Now, the search engines have indexed the boards and take people directly to the boards so that there are people posting who are not subscribers to the site and whose are not really connected to the site.
