In your article on opposite forces Fire & water you mention & show astrologial 4 principles Fire,Prithvi,Vayu(Air),& Water classification showing 12 zodiac signs divided into groups of three each., Further you talk about only Fire & Water. why? Where comes the fifth most important principle "Akash(Space)" of the Panch-Mahabhoota principles? How & where would you put it? What are your thoughts & knowledge about it? |

Astrology considers that ether is the matrix for the denser four "manifest" elements. I believe that you might say that if the world was conceived in the mind of Brahma and projected forth in His meditation, then the blueprint is etheric and the building blocks are the other four elements. I personally think we might make a case for more than five elements, but the article was just about fire and water, the opposites. There is another article about air and water on http://www.astroheal.net and there are some more articles on astroheal.com. |

You have achieved "the" Level I must say. "Astrology considers that ether is the matrix for the denser four "manifest" elements. I believe that you might say that if the world was conceived in the mind of Brahma and projected forth in His meditation, then the blueprint is etheric and the building blocks are the other four elements. I personally think we might make a case for more than five elements" I may add whch you might be already knowing, I suppose that these Principles in ancient language are same as "Solids(Prithvi),Liquids(Apa or water),Gaseous (Vayu or Air), Energy Waves sound or light-ellectromagnetic (Agni or Teja), Space or so called vaccume (Akasha/Avakash). These concepts are completely parallel. What you say that we can have more than 5 principles is true we can have "Ananta"(Infinite) no. of principles. but these 5 are basic, scientifically as well. Beuty of this is further that "Sookshma"(Microscopic) & "Sthool"(Macroscopic) concepts alternate. "Sookshma" is inside "Sthoola" which is again "sookshma" of its own "Sthoola"! so "Akasha" is the "Sthoola" form of space where as "Avakash" is "Sookshma" form of space- like space between Ellecrons & Protons! Here Proton is the "Sun" & Ellectrons the "planets"! This the understanding of "Pind-Brahmand" principle. Whaterver present in "Pind" (Sookshma or Micros) is Present in "Brahmand" (Sthoola-Macros). In Indian classifications basic classification is "Advait" or "Unipolar or Universal" second being "Dwaita" the "Bipolar" ( as you describe Fire & water). This is the most important classification because Life is bipolar (There is "Life & Death"). Further Traigunya, Chaturvarnya, Panchamahabhoot, Shadripu, Saptarishi .. to Ananta. One has to use requried classification at required times! I think I am following western style, regurgitating whatever understood without digesting! I need to follow "Mouna" (Silence)Principle!
