Hi Ingrid,
First may I say thank you for the wonderful and informative site. I have learned so much from you! My problem is with chronic candida. I have had it for about three years, precipitated by a bad bout with the flu (didn't take antibiotics, though). Ever since I have had terrible fatigue, often very debilitating, fuzzy thinking, lethargy, anxiety and adrenal rushes, PMS symptoms that last the entire month, and I suspect fertility problems (no medical confirmation of this). Strangely enough I don't have vaginal discharge, though there is considerable irritation on the outside. Intercourse, however, is nearly impossible to engage in because of the pain involved. It is definitely not bacterial and at my last gyno visit my doctor said she did not even see any yeast, though the symptoms persist. I'm at my wits end with this, and have undergone some pretty aggressive treatment, including 6 months on Diflucan. I have modified my diet drastically, eliminating wheat and dairy and sugar. However, I still suffer terribly from carb cravings, which take monumental strength to overcome (and sometimes I am not successful with this). If you could recommend supplemention and/or diet modifications that could help me with this. I did try a liver cleanse and very restricted diet, but the successes, though significant, were shortlived.
Thanks !

I suspect your story is one that many share with you so I would prefer to spend a bit more time writing new pages for the web. I have a house guest at the moment who is very knowledgable on these subjects so I may enlist her help.

Basically, what I would say is that trying to turn everything around all at once is usually not successful. It takes time and patience, but I am a great believer in intestinal flora and something almost no one ever thinks of: chlorophyll douches. These are amazing. They are also messy. You can use a syringe and a liquid form of chlorophyll (which we do have) or insert a capsule at night and douche in the morning.

As I said, I'll post some more in the next few days, and for those who do not realize you can subscribe so that you are notified when there are new posts, go to:
