Dear Ingrid, I am a libra, which means I have a tendency towards the air element. Does that mean I have a veta or air derangement? I am also overwieght and have a slow metabolism. What kind of spices and foods should I take in order to combat these deficiencies? thank you sam |

Sam, Normally people with a vata derangement are thin and generally, I also look to the Moon rather than the Sun as the clue to the constitutional type. To speed up metabolism, you eliminate sugars of all types and increase the intake of fresh spices, not the irradiated ones in supermarkets, but the types you find in Asian markets and health foods stores. |

Dear Ingrid, Thank you for responding to my querry. I have one more question if you don't mind. Does being an overweight libra(1st october)allow me to consume sour foods like grape fruits and lemons? Since sour foods have a high fire element which is supposed to help speed up ones metabolism. Also, is there a way of telling ones constitutional type from the moon? Thank you sam |

Also, being a libra it says that I should have a vata derangement. Although I am overweight which is not one of the characteristics of vata derangement. I have cold/clammy hands and feet, and cannot stand the cold which are the characteristics of either a vatta or a kapha. What do you think? thank you again sam

Kapha! The constitutional type is based on the Moon, not the Sun. Visit my astrology site: http://www.astroheal.com |

On the first phase of detox, how will you know when to move on to the second phase? I am 56 and have problems with loose BMs often. Thank you. |

Becky, When your bowels are normal, you are ready for the next phase. You need to aim for easy elimination, without straining. There should be almost no odor, very little undigested food particles, no strange colors, etc., etc. When things have been very normal for a few weeks, you can graduate. Good luck! |

Having had my gall bladder removed 32 yrs ago, I now have fibroids which in reading your material discovered were probably formed as a result of not having my gall bladder. My concern at 51 is that my lower abdomen is growing larger each year and I have sugar cravings all the time. I know getting rid of one will eliminate the other, but I don't know where to start to get a jump start. I can't seem to do it alone. |
