Hello Ingrid,

For the last couple of months I have suffered from chronic outer ear infections. It first started when I moved from an area that had hard water to my parents house where they have extremely soft water. If I dose my ears with hydrogen peroxide and rubbing alcohol I can stave them off but if I stop it flares up again. We have recently moved to a new house which has hard water again, and I have successfully not needed to use the alcohol and hydrogen peroxide but I do have a chronic itching in the ears..

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you
Jennifer

It's hard to say what causes these symptoms. It could be an infection or parasite. Many people put garlic cloves or a medicated oil (containing garlic and other herbs) in their ears. I have the oil if you want to e-mail me using one of the links on this site.
